What's going on with Binance in Ontario?

I just learned about the news with binance in Ontario, Canada and the UK futures ban a couple days ago and see lots of people asking what's going on. I see @binance via email has suggested that all Ontario residents close their binance accounts by December 31, 2021 but I wanted to see what some of your thoughts are on potential outcomes.
